The town of Leland is in the process of acquiring property to create a new municipal park located along Sturgeon Creek. Conceptual plans of the park indicate that the park will encompass approximately 78 acres. Amenities for the new park include a boat ramp, disc golf course, walking trails, playground equipment and picnic areas, as well as a kayak and canoe launch site.
ASE has performed services on 18.22 acres of land located along South Navassa Road and Sturgeon Creek for this project. The proposed project property includes former residential property, a former gas station, a former salvage yard and an additional maintenance garage. ASE has conducted Phase I ESAs, Phase II ESAs, asbestos surveys, asbestos abatement management services, hazardous materials management and demolition oversight on this project.
